Praise God!!! I thought of you this week...Sadie has become obsessed with Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, so I have been hearing the song of the misfit toys on almost a daily basis. I remembered your blog about feeling like a misfit. But God has GREAT plans for misfits!! He rarely works through the ones you would expect, and His glory shines even brighter when the situation seems impossible. I am loving all of the pictures of little Anna. She is a beauty, and to see Lily meeting her little sister? Wow....what a beautiful picture of God's grace and redemption to a couple of misfits. :) Hugs to you!!
I’m 38 years old and I’ve been happily married to my husband (known on this blog as "Chuck") since 1998. I was born and raised in my dear home state of Louisiana and have lived in Texas since 2001, the year we started trying to have a baby.
This blog is about what my life has been like living with infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss for nearly a decade. My faith has played a big part in helping me get through six first-trimester miscarriages. Our seventh pregnancy finally brought us our miracle girl in September 2010. Our second precious gift, another daughter, arrived in November 2012.
1/2010 Femara cycle, IUI #2 canceled due to scheduling problem at doctor's office
12/2009 Clomid cycle, IUI #1 (BFN)
12/2009 After 3 years of infertility, we decide to try Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
5/2008 I started this blog
1/2008 Laparoscopy: Removal of scar tissue and moderate endometriosis
10/2007 Biopsy - Endometrial Function Test (EFT): Results - Glandular Developmental Arrest (GDA), but doctor believes my pregnancy losses are caused by multiple factors
8/2007 Hysterosalpingogram (HSG): Results - normal
7/2007 Began seeing current Fertility Specialist
2/2007 Consulted with geneticist
1/2007 *GASP* I turned 30, just a couple of days after my 6th miscarriage. Mourned the loss of my 20s.
3/2006 Husband consulted with urologist: Result - ruled out sperm fragmentation
3/2006 Consulted with a high-risk pregnancy dr (who suggested I use Lovenox injections with next 2 pregnancies)
7/2005 4th miscarriage: 9 weeks (D&C)
1/2005 Laparoscopy/Hysteroscopy: Resection of uterine septum
12/2004 IVP test & MRI: Confirmed septum in uterus
11/2004 Hysteroscopy (exploratory): Possible septate uterus
10/2004 3rd miscarriage: 6 weeks
9/2003 Husband's labs turn out great; My labs don't pinpoint a direct problem but show MTHFR mutation; I begin taking daily aspirin and extra folic acid, and using progesterone supplements
8/2003 Began seeing first Fertility Specialist (Testing begins)
3/2003 2nd miscarriage: 11 weeks (D&C)
7/2002 1st miscarriage: 11 weeks
5/2001 We moved to TX. Soon after, started trying to have a baby
